What is ThermiVA?

ThermiVA is referred to as a vaginal revitalization procedure because it restores blood flow and collagen to your vaginal and vulvar tissues. The treatment is noninvasive and quick, using gentle radiofrequency waves to heat your tissues and stimulate collagen repair. Collagen is an important protein that keeps your skin firm.

What does ThermiVA treat?

ThermiVA treats some of the changes that happen leading up to and during menopause. Due to the slowed production of the hormones estrogen and progesterone, your pelvic organs and tissues undergo some adjustments. 

One possible condition that can develop as the result of the loss of estrogen is called genitourinary syndrome of menopause or vaginal atrophy. The condition can cause symptoms that ThermiVA can treat, including:

• Pale, smooth, or shiny skin on the vulva

What should I expect during a ThermiVA treatment?

A small metal electrode on the tip of the ThermiVA handpiece delivers the radiofrequency deep into your tissues. The treatment is painless, but you might experience a warming sensation from the energy.
